Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ZenFiles ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. We may update these Terms at any time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

ZenFiles is a file sharing platform that enables users to upload files and generate shareable links. The Service includes free and paid subscription tiers, each with different storage limits, feature availability, and usage quotas. Details of current plan tiers are available on our Pricing page.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features you must create an account via Google OAuth or email magic link. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload, store, or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or harmful
• Distribute malware, viruses, or other malicious software
• Attempt to bypass storage limits, rate limits, or other technical restrictions
• Interfere with the operation of the Service or other users' access
• Use automated systems to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

5. Storage & Usage Limits

Each plan tier has defined storage limits, file size limits, and monthly operation quotas (uploads, downloads, views). If you exceed your storage allocation, your publicly shared files may become temporarily inaccessible until you free space or upgrade your plan. We will notify you before any action is taken on your account.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time through your subscription management portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price changes take effect.

7. Custom Subdomains

Pro users may claim a custom subdomain (e.g., brand.zenfiles.xyz). Subdomain availability is subject to validation. We reserve the right to reclaim subdomains that infringe trademarks, are misleading, or violate these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all files you upload. By using the Service, you grant ZenFiles a limited license to store, process, and serve your files as necessary to provide the Service. We do not claim ownership over your content.

The ZenFiles name, logo, and application interface are our property and may not be copied or reproduced without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. ZenFiles is not liable for any data loss, service interruptions, or damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your files will be permanently deleted from our storage systems within 30 days. We may terminate your access for violations of these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
